Say “I love you a whole brunch”…

Say “I love you a whole brunch” to mom with a Mother’s Day Brunch Board.

In my opinion, the perfect Mother’s Day would start with a brunch board to graze on all morning and afternoon... along with family and coffee, of course!

So I headed to my local Sprouts Farmers Market where they had EVERYTHING I needed to create this Mother’s Day brunch board. When making this board I thought about 3 things: produce, pastries and protein!

Let’s build the board:

Pastries- I built the foundation of my board with Chocolate Swirl Brioche Bread (pre-sliced for simple serving), Belgian Waffles, Raspberry Croissants, Raspberry Strudel Bites, and Freedom Bakery- GF Old Fashioned Glazed Donuts. I created five separate piles of pastries, so they could be a barrier for the other foods and allow color to be evenly distributed throughout the board (as these pastries are all neutral in color).

Produce- One of my favorite areas in Sprouts is the Produce Department because of the wide-variety and freshness. Oh My Yum! I loaded up with strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries because they pair perfectly with pastries. And added mango, cantaloupe, and kiwi cut in fun ways. Tip: I combine similar colored fruits- like blackberries and blueberries to create extra dimension.

Spreads and dips- Next, I added in three bowls for spreads/dips that compliment the pastries and produce: Organic Raspberry Fruit Spread, Organic 100% Raw Unfiltered Honey, and Organic Hazelnut Spread.

Protein In the remaining gaps, I added protein such as honey roasted pecans, bacon, and halved- hard boiled eggs.

Final touches- Lastly, add in dark chocolate and fresh flowers for a special Mother’s Day touch!

Grab a plate and create your perfect brunch combination like a fresh belgian waffle with organic hazelnut spread topped with strawberries or chocolate brioche bread drizzled in honey topped with blackberries and blueberries. Or just enjoy straight off the board.
