Are you ready for some...
I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in a diehard red and gold, 49ers family. After graduating college from the University of Kansas, I fell in love with the other red and gold, The Kansas City Chiefs, and tried out for their cheerleading team. I was a Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader for three seasons and captain... so game days are still a big deal for me!
Here are FOUR FUN FOOTBALL FOOD-BOARD ideas (this former English teacher loves an alliteration).
1- The Color Cohesive Board- Rep your team colors and keep a cohesive color scheme. I decked out these boards in red and yellow-toned ingredients (Go Chiefs). It’s a fun way to shop and allows you to look for and try different foods you might not typically purchase.
2- The Stadium Board- Start with a wow-factor base. I’ve linked a couple of “stadiums” and football inspired boards here. Feature "game-day" paired foods such as chips and spinach dip or pretzels and cheese dip. Touch down!
3- The Cookie/Candy Board- I am a sweet tooth, so love making (and eating) these boards. Feature custom cookies, colorful popcorn, or create a football field of candy. It's all about creativity and can be as simple as a $10 trip to candy section of the dollar tree.
4- The Classic Board with simple touches. If you've been following me a while, you might have caught on that I LOVE a festive food pick. My very favorite for game day are these sparkly ones, perfect for elevating a classic cheese and charcuterie board.
Gamedays are Graze-days! Enjoy and I would love see your creations! Sarah (and Chloe)
