Back-to-School Snacking

Back-to-school season is almost here and while you might be thinking about school supplies... I am brainstorming up some after-school snack boards. Snack boards get kids excited about eating fun, yet nutritious foods.

I’m sharing three tips to make balanced, delicious snack board:

  1. Load your board with produce. My favorite department at Sprouts is the produce department because of their fresh and wide variety. I chose veggies with fun colors like purple cauliflower or rainbow carrots. And, cut my produce into approachable kid-friendly sizes.

  2. Don’t forget the crunchy and sweet snacks. Sprouts has so many delicious organic, whole grain, and dye-free snack options I love to stock up on. With a balanced snack board, kids will be satisfied and won’t be asking, “where’s the _____”?

3. Have some fun! Elevate a classic peanut butter sandwich by creating an animal face or fun shape! Depending on their age, kids can join in and create their own.

Enjoy! And to be clear- it’s not just for the kids :)! My husband and I love grazing on this board, too!
