Circus Animal “Sprinkle Pie”
My daughter, Chloe, just turned three! At the top of the list of things she loves is pink, sprinkles, animals, and helping mom in the kitchen. SO, we threw her a “Circus” birthday party and made these bars together as a perfect addition to the dessert table (yes, table). They are chewy, can be cut into small bite-sized pieces for guests to grab, and party planning bonus: can be made in advance, frozen, and thawed the day of (thank you no mess). Chloe calls this recipe “sprinkle pie” and I love her name for it! I saw the original recipe on The Domestic Rebel, but we made a few small adaptions… so I totally give her credit for the inspiration behind this recipe.
Ingredients:
1 box Funfetti cake mix
1 egg
1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil
14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup raspberry yogurt pretzels (broken into fourths)
One 18oz bag circus animal cookies (broken into fourths)
1/2 cup rainbow non-perils (let’s be honest… I don’t measure)
Steps:
Preheat oven to 350°. Generously oil a 13x9 glass baking pan with vegetable or canola oil.
Combine your cake mix, egg, and oil in a bowl to make a soft dough. Press the dough evenly into your 13x9 pan. Bake for 10 minutes. *Take the pan out but keep the oven on.
On top of your base add circus animal cookies, white chocolate chips, raspberry yogurt covered pretzels, and 1/4 cup rainbow non-perils.
Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top.
Add remaining (1/4 cup) rainbow non-perils. Bake for 18-20 minutes.
Remove from the oven. They will need to completely cool before cutting by either sitting over-night or in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Enjoy!
Sprinkle sweetness everywhere! XO Sarah J & Coco Ray
