March 2022 Disney Trip!

With baby girl # 2 coming in May, my husband and I were brainstorming up a “baby-moon”. Not three minutes into this planning, it turned into a Disney Trip for our Minnie Mouse loving (obsessed) toddler. She actually calls herself “CoCo Mouse”.

Our daughter, Chloe, turns three in April and kids under three get into Disney for free, so we were totally convinced to do it big. One last family vacation as a family of three and a third birthday celebration! My brother and his family live in Huntington Beach, so we chose Disneyland vs. Disney World. I am no expert when it comes to Disney- but here are a few things that might be helpful if you plan on going.

We went with no set plan or expectation. I didn't want to stress out and sprint around. And, when you make plan with a toddler- it never goes as planned anyways! *We DID download with Disney App and purchase the Disney Genie +. This was worth it and allowed us to get lightning lane passes every 2 hours. *We also looked a rides with height limits on the app- that way we knew what Chloe (and I being pregnant) could ride.

Packing list (keep in mind I have an almost 3 year old toddler):

Stroller with

  • Extra clothes & shoes (in case of blisters or spills)

  • All the snacks and drinks (they let you bring them in)

  • Ponchos if you ride wet rides

  • Portable Phone charger (with using the Disney App and taking photos you’ll def need this)

  • Sanitizer/wipes

  • Bandaids/First Aid kit (Chloe did scrape her knees- bec she was so excited and tired… she fell while doing a twirl in her minnie dress)

  • Sunscreen

Fanny pack/wearable purse (you’ll have to leave your stroller at “stroller parking” spots) with

  • your wallet/phone!

  • Bribes or activities while in line example: skittles and a small fidget toy

Tips:

  • Get custom temp tattoos on Etsy with your phone number to put on your kid (In case they happen to get lost. Might sound overboard but the best $8 you’ll ever spend if something did happen.) Another idea, one of my followers told me they put an air tag in their child’s shoe!

  • Buy Disney toys/ bubble wands ($30 in the park and EVERY kid has one) / ears at home, but “gift” them at the park (to make it affordable)

  • Only wear tennis shoes!

  • Disney at night is magical. The lights, the weather, and the lines (for kids rides).

Chloe’s (3 years old) Faves at the park: Tea Cups, Dumbo, Seeing the Parade, Seeing Mickey/Minnie/Disney Princesses, Turtle Talk with Crush, Radiator Springs

Fave Pre-purchases:

Overall:
We ALL had a blast. Mom, dad (he truly lived it up), and Coco. We walked 10+ miles a day (so I’d def bring a stroller if you have a little one). We WILL be back sometime!

XOXO Sarah & “Coco Mouse”
