2/2022 Recap
TWO months down and TEN more to make 2022 everything we’ve hoped. I find if I reflect monthly, I not only stay motivated to stick to my goals/plans/dreams but also find gratitude and thankfulness for the little things that each month brings. So here’s my monthly recap- continually reflecting on my New Years “resolutions” and 2022 goals.
I have stuck to my 2022 goals of:
One book a month. Most all of the books I read are inspirational/spiritual/motivational. It’s easier for me to pick them up and down (with a toddler). This month it was Living Fully by Mallory Ervin and I give it a WOW yes!
I've drank one of these EVERY day this year. Whoop- that’s a big deal for me. A water bottle that has actually motivated me!
I still haven’t made a trip to Target or the Grocery Story (aside from my one Trader Joes run a month). And now I’m craving strolling through the aisles of Target, haha. Using exclusive Instacart, Target, and Amazon delivery has saved me so much time I can invest elsewhere.
I started a group-workout class at The Bare Method and Sweat Forum. Currently sore while typing this. I’ve realized I need a structured class setting while working out when pregnant vs. “just going to the gym”.
My “ROSES” About January: (Rose = highlights, Thorn = challenge)
I helped plan a “perfect pear” TWIN baby shower for my dear friend and neighbor. I LOVED celebrating her and can’t wait to watch her become a twin mama. *Photo above
Girl’s Night with some of my Chiefs Cheer Alum friends at Bamboo Penny’s
A Winter Wonderland Wedding and trip to Vail, Colorado (wrote alllll about it here)
Baking up/developing a St.Patrick’s Day inspired treat with Chloe. Or as she called it “Sprinkle Pie”.
Finding my “Spring Uniform”. I am a repeat offender and when I find an outfit I like, I wear it everywhere (why not). Also, totally trying to avoid wearing pants while pregnant… so dresses it is. This, this (in yellow), and this (in pink) are IT!
UpUpandAway Balloons surprised Chloe with a Valentines balloon bouquet that made our entire week!
A box of California Kishu Mandarins delivered to the doorstep. I love seasonal fruit.
The Afloat App Officially Launched. If you are local to KC or Dallas, this is an on-demand (think same or next day delivery) gifting app where you can shop from local businesses. Y’all, gifting is my love language. Anything to celebrate or suprise others, count me in! I love that afloat has a variety of price points and has reminded me to celebrate EVERYTHING. This month I sent: Cold Brew- for my mama friend just because! Balloons- for our dear friend’s birthday (sent them while in Vail and they arrived right on their porch- how cool)! Nail Polish- for my friend as a Valentine’s gift. An all-natural skincare travel kit- for me because we were headed out of town and I love shopping local. Hair Accessories- (do you see they are Cat’s?) which were purfect for my cat-loving friend who also just got a coaching job at a high school with a cat/tiger mascot. A Lemon Squeezy sensory kit- for a toddler’s birthday gift… I brought something little to the party, but wanted to send this gift on the exact birthday! AND a lot of Grazing KC candy boxes- just because :). *Check out all the gift photos below. I know you’ll love afloat as much as I do!
My “Thorn” of February:
We left Chloe overnight for the first time EVER and I felt very emotional about it.
Happy February! Here’s to March and a month of rainbows and magic.
