June

June just so happens to be my birthday month, wedding anniversary month, part of my last name (Juenemann), and of course… the official start to summer. It’s surely my favorite month of the year. I love being outside. going to the pool, and long summer nights.

My birthday saying for the last ten years has been: “every year is the best year” because I truly believe God has exceedingly abundantly more planned for our future than our past and there are far better things ahead than any we leave behind. Surely it was not the “best” year while living through a global pandemic and being quarantined for a year +. I wasn’t going to acknowledge this “birthday saying” but here I am reflecting on my 30th birthday so here it goes…

Some of the BEST things about this year were: My husband working from home and spending the most beautiful quality time with our Chloe girl and as a family. Neighbors that turned into best friends we couldn’t imagine life without. Growing my business and navigating change. Embracing the slow.

But this year I was reminded how much I missed and love CELEBRATING, special events, deep connection, intimate conversations, and sharing a meal. So I decided to end this decade and start a new one with just that! I had the most beautiful, special, Kansas City Backyard Luxury Picnic with some of my best friends to celebrate my 30th!
